Hi, here’s my first post. Looking forward to what the forum brings and what I may contribute. I am a longtime owner of a Remington 12 gauge. But I consider myself a beginner. My goal is to become more effective at Home Defense. My plan is to get active, learn, and do it the right way! HQL course is scheduled and I look forward to applying for the handgun permit. Joined NRA, and I believe this forum will be just the resource I need. See you on the boards.

    Welcome!

One suggestion: if you have your carry permit, you can get the HQL for free (no additional training or fingerprints). If you want to save a few dollars, just do the training and everything else to get your carry permit, then file for a free HQL as a carry permit holder.
