Headline/news article section?

How about a Headline news article section to post in? It would be easier for people to find if a specific topic has already been posted on and might cut down on dupes.

IMO, just one more thing for mods to police.

As for the dupes, I agree... but it's because a lot of folks (myself included on occasion) are so interested in getting word out that the existing topic is missed. Or, sometimes they're being posted at the same time.

Usually, though, it's just laziness, where people don't bother to look.

I think it's more a function of subjective language. It's hard to search for something that could be described in almost any way. And could be in one of a few different sections. I actually suggested this not because I'm tired of seeing duplicated threads. But because I'm tired of seeing people posting in threads complaining that they're dupes.

It would hopefully keep most of them in one section and easier to find instead of having to search a few sections to see if there is already a thread on the topic.
