I have a Browning A5 and would like to have refinished in an oil finish rather than polyurethane. Does anyone know a good Md gunsmith that does a very good refinishing job

Welcome to the forum. It is customary to introduce yourself.

Not sure why you think it needs to be done by a gunsmith. Anyone can refinish the stock.

That was my thought too - refinishing a stock is pretty much stripping the old finish, sanding, then rubbing thin coats of boiled linseed oil in, over and over.
