The grip safety on my SIL's EZ makes her regret purchasing it. She can rack it, but she can't shoot it.

Mossberg 51- cool, but not reliable, and part unobtanium.
Chiappa Rak 22- Looked cool, rifle didn't work from the get go, and Chiappa is a pain to deal with
Keltec SU16- Would have been awesome if it didn't jam every magazine.
ATI M4-22 - Sucked from the get go as well, and ATI couldn't fix it.

Grendel P12 .380 acp. Trigger broke first time at the range in less than 50 rounds. POS
The first handgun I ever purchased was a Grendel P10. Trigger still works like new after 300-400 rounds, but still can't hit the broadside of a barn from inside the barn. May not be able to shoot an HQL qual with it. I swapped out the original barrel for the optional longer barrel, got with a noticable increase in accuracy but now has feed problems (often kicks out unfired cartridges with the spent case). I need to swap the original barrel back into it and see if it becomes reliable again.

Walther CCP M2. Total Jam-O-matic. Spent more on ammo than I did the gun trying to get it to run right. Gave up and sold it cheap on consignment.

    The trigger also sucked

Savage 210 Bolt Action Shotgun rifled and chambered for 3 inch shells.

When I got to MD in '87, I bought one of these for counties that require a shotgun. I bought about 12 different kinds of slugs and headed to AGC to sight it in. The next day, I felt like someone ran me over. I thought about it for a day and put an ad in the paper looking for a trade. A guy in Dundalk offered to trade a like new Marlin .44 Mag and I took it and never looked back.

    Dang, that thing kicked!

I think the only gun I’ve really regretted was getting a Bodyguard 380. It was convenient for carry, but shooting it was the most miserable and unenjoyable experience.

The other regret I have to a lesser extent is the original full size Beretta APX. I definitely didn’t need it: I have striker 9mms out the wazoo in my safes. But it’s a Beretta, and I missed my old PX4, so I bought it. I think I took it out to shoot it like two or three times, felt very meh about it, and ended up trading it towards another 1911 (because one cannot have too many 1911s).

Shield 1.0 chambered in .40 S&W. No fun to shoot. Trigger sucks. Can't shoot it well, and several friends have shot it, and none of us get good results, but we have no problems with other guns.

Walther SP22. Bought it at Bass Pro on a whim. Functions fine, just not my style.
Anyone looking for a cheap .22, feel free to PM me.

I bought a dedicated long range rifle on impulse, which I almost never do, but it was a good price and others were interested. It’s a .375 CheyTac, Lawton 8000 action, barrel and muzzle brake from back when the elder Lawton was still making them. I bought 200 rounds of brass, almost completed a reloading set up just for it and then shit hit the fan with health issues for both of us and it simply took the wind out of our sails. I bought 20 rounds loaded by Graf just to shoot it, and that was fun but never really got to use it as intended. I found out I probably needed to make overnight trips to take it anywhere I could stretch its legs. Nice rifle but I need to get my ass in gear and sell the whole lot of it.

FN Five-seveN; hated it from the first round I shot out of it. Sights would constantly walk and lose zero everytime it was in transit to and from the range...after 2-3 shooting sessions I sold it and don't miss it even a little bit. It was too big for my hand, the recoil impulse with the grip texture was just plain uncomfortable (and I owned a .500S&W w/4" barrel...so I'm not recoil shy), and the proprietary/unable-to-reloadability of the round made this a dud for me immediately.

Try the Ruger 57. It's a nice pistol with a grip that won't mess you up.

You can get dies to reload 5.7x28 now.

I've been reading a lot of reviews and it seems many favor the PSA 5.7 over the Ruger and FN. They had a BF/christmas deal w/ Holosun optic but they won't ship mags to MD :(

Walther SP-22. The cheesy space gun. POS. But it was on sale at the time, still, you can pick them up CHEAP on GB.

HA! Same gun, posted 8 years apart. (Your first post was on page 5 - I was reviewing this thread and thought it looked familiar.) You're at least consistent! :party29:
