Not sure about Bersa's - I was under the impression that the Taurus internal lock using a special key is acceptable to maryland.

I'm not sure what lock or how many are required. When I bought my 1911, it has some kind of internal magazine lock (haven't picked it up yet) but my wife's S&W model 60 has an internal lock, came with a cable lock in the case, and the dealer (Barts) gave her some kind of muzzle locking device.

From the MSP "Safety Devices" .pdf

    Bersa Lock (Firestorm)
    Bersa Lock (Thunder)
Taurus Systems (separate systems for revolvers and semi-automatics)
Smith & Wesson Integrated Lock (for semi-automatic pistols)

    and others ... Read on.

Print it and take it to your FFL. It's the MSP 'approved' list, so refuse to buy another lock.

The Bersa .380 Thunder has the MD approved built in internal lock on the left side of the frame just below the slide and is very obvious. An additional MD compliant internal lock is NOT required for that specific gun.

Thanks, I saw that as well. I've received note everything is good. Was an oversight.

I believe what they mean is a tangible extra lock that they require to release.

That must be a store policy. I have never had issues with getting Tauruses with the factory locking mechanism only.
