Hey guys Ive been real interested in German Mausers lately. Where is the best place to find one. Looking for a quality shooter. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
I like the Mitchells mausers. They are very nice looking and great shooters. They are advertised as all original matching guns, but they are really just reconditioned to look like that. At least it seems that way to me.

The original k98s they have are usually Russian captures that have been refinished, not much collector value but it may or may not shoot well depending on how honest they are. Do you want an actual German made rifle or can it be of a different origin?
If I was looking for a shooter grade WWII German K98k Mauser I would get a Russian capture.
They are mixmaster refurb rifles but all matching unmolested originals are well over a thousand $.
If you keep an eye on the classifieds over at GunBoards.com you will see one in good shape sooner or later.
I see them on GunBroker and AuctionArms as well.
hey thanks alot guys, i think im gonna pick one up from SOG, seems they have a nice selection of germans and others. doesnt have to be a german, and they have some yugo and czech rifles as well. need to do more research. thanks again.
