Stopped by today. There were two folks waiting in line outside the door. If I were to be the third in line outside, about how long would the wait be if each of the folks ahead of me were, worst case, buying a handgun?

They are only letting in a few at a time. The time is variable. If one person doesn't know what they want, it may take a while. If someone is picking up, 10-15 mins. They will give each customer the time and attention needed.

Sorry for missing your post. Tapatalk isn’t sending me notifications for some reason. The wait time can vary, as has been said. We are extremely busy open to close. Sometimes it’s a few minutes, and sometimes it’s longer depending on what people in the store are doing. I would say the average wait time is 10-15 minutes. It’s hard to say for sure.

I get there about 20 minutes before Chuck opens. That way, I am one of the first three in the door. If you have done your 77R at home, you will be out of there in 20 minutes tops. When picking up a gun, it takes 10 to 15 minutes. They are very organized and know how to speed up your trip. :party29::party29::party29:

I understand why, but it would be nice if they figured out an alternative solution to making customers wait outside. I pulled up this afternoon to browse and maybe spend some money while I was in the area. Saw the queue outside and kept driving.

Wait time definitely varies. Good stores are typically busy and it would pay you to try to miss peak times (weekends, the minute they open, after work...).

I was there early afternoon Wednesday to pick up a couple lowers and there was no wait at all.

I was there on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago to pick up a pistol and was about #8 in line. waited 30 minutes.

Nothing against the generally well regarded, and obviously very busy Tylers .

But if you wish to browse or leisurely peruse , drive past any LGS with a waiting line , on to the next closest LGS .

You would just frustrate yourself , and not have a good browsing experience , and delay the people in line behind you prearranged to instantly hand over $ .

Heck , there's one well regarded LGS , that I liked very much in original location , that is So Popular in new building , that every time I've been there it's packed elbow to elbow , and you've got to force your way through the aisles . I might dive in for a specific item , but will not do my usual browsing , that is my usual motivator of major purchases .

Still only allowing a couple in at a time? I understand why that happened at the height of the dempanic, but now? Is it just a very small space inside?

Frequent Tylers customer here. Post Covid, I haven’t had to wait much more than about 10 minutes. I always go during the weekday.

Pros and cons to everything but I kind of like their system. Once inside there is plenty of room to look in the cases. Some shops it’s about impossible with so many people hovering around. Also, the service is more personalized. I’ve never had to flag somebody down.

They have a sign out front that they have this system due to shoplifting issues. As far as the amount of people let in at at time, it seems to depend on how many employees are working at a given time.
