So I'm getting pissed. My first SBR build up is going slow and being a pain in the ass. Anyway, I got my BA barrel finally installed and after a bunch of fiddling to get the damn gas tube (Aero melonite) started, it now won't go into the FSB at ALL! Tips? FWIW the barrel nut wouldn't line up with the gas tube hole until I got to 70 ft lbs (started at 35)

Lots of FSB's and Gas Blocks have improperly sized bores. Lots of oversized and undersized gas tubes on the market as well.

Do you have another gas tube to try (process of elimination), or a precise way to measure your gas tube?
