    Thanks BTB
Did some research and the notos seems like a winner. It may be worthy of its own thread. I thought it wise to see if pyramid will have a sale for the 4th but my trigger finger is getting itchy. Do they usually have discounts?

PCP rabbit hole here I come.
Yes, they routinely have a 15-20% discount.
Here is the cheapest place I've found, but they don't get real good reviews. This is about how cheap PA has it for when they have the deals.

You could probably try a price match with Buds Gun Shop.

About the best total price, with shipping and tax in Md, that you can expect to get is about $230.

    Thanks for the leg work!
And .... PA Code FREEDOM for 11% off. $240. w/1700 pellets for ~$304
    I had Gunbroker down to $218, w/shipping $235
I like to stay loyal to a shop and they have experienced people I can talk to if needed.
BlackHawk drop ships in 3-7 days and does not do returns.

So in about a week there will be a gamo whisper? break barrel out in the bean field with a bunch of other things that pissed me off over the years.

Sorry to hijack your thread Cobra.

Just an update, got the Umarex Notos, looks pretty cool, easy to assemble, need to tighten the buffer tube, Vortex 1-4 x 32 is perfect, trigger needs work, dry fired once I hope that doesn't hurt them, six compressors and none do 3,000 psi only 130 max so into the closet she goes. It did not piss me off so it does not get thrown into the pile of items I've thrown into the bean field. Not enough info for a new thread and I'm back to the break barrel, rabbit hole venture done.
    Happy 4th all!

I agree with a handpump but it would be worth spending a little more and getting a Hill air pump. It is made better, is easier to pump and comes with a desiccant container which you need if you do want to pump dry air into your gun.

Here is a used one on ebay for an excellent price. The guy lives in Mount Airy so you can go look at it if you want.

Not sure if they have changed or not but at one time I owned a Hill MK3 pump. After getting my $44 amazon pump as a back up I now only own it, the Hill was sold. This pump is easier then the Hill I had.
If you search for Nomadic Pirate on the airgun forums he tells a lot about the Hill. He lives in Hawaii and only hand pumps. He was a Hill diehard. He sold his Hill pumps and only uses the cheap Chinese ones.

I only had the opposite experience. I had a Chinese pump that worked great for a few months and then needed rebuilding. Same happened after a couple more months. Mind you, I was only filling a 2000 PSI Benjamin Discovery and a Marauder pistol at the time.

I switched to a 4 stage Hill pump and it was like I went to heaven. Of course, when I got the Talon and Avenger, I went to electric and haven't looked back.
