How rough are they ? This is a Grade 3 . The seller had another Lot of Grade 3 for about $20 more, so presumably this lot for $272 was the " worst " .

Night sights "might" have a faint glow in total darkness , but essentially dead .

Would have come with 1 standard mag , but didn't ship to MD.

Trigger was fine , stock Gen 4 .

Came with all 3 backstraps in the box .

I'm happy . Price is right , and I'm cool with guns having " character .

If you feel otherwise, there was the other Lot of Grade 3 with implied $20 better cosmetics , or Grade 2 for $329 .

I really liked that gun. The Gen 4 G22 has some nice touches that the Gen 3 didn't, while still retaining the finger grooves that I liked.

Can you give any low down on the different backstraps ?

I thought the original grip was OK on the standard frame Glocks , and am given to understand my " SF " Gen 3 is equivalent to smallest backstrap on Gen 4 large frame Glock .

    ***************

Meanwhile, at previous Chantilly have 3 ea of current mags flat and Plus Two bases . Plus picked up 20 made in Austria LE mags from someone on Glock Forum ( picked up out of state ) . So I can now to the " entire range session pre loaded " thing .

Will spring it from gun jail next weekend .

Nothing that some TLC and Cerakote won't fix

I * could * do the Cerakote or whatever. But I"m happy for basic black , and don't need a color change , and if I were that pressed over a couple bright edges , it would have been cheaper to upgrade to a Grade Two .

I never used any of the add-on back straps on my Gen 4. Without one, it was very close to my standard Gen 3.

Are they add ons over the base, or three totally different pieces , that one of them must be used ?

But, but, OMG it's a .40... Have you lost your fvcking mind...??

Totally kidding, i'm actually quite fond of .40 and own several flavors of Glock, an M&P full size, and a KelTec sub 2k in .40, it's an outstanding caliber IMHO, despite all the naysayers.

$272 seems like a very reasonable deal if it's mechanically sound, and Glock's are so easy to work on that anything that might need replacing or upgrading will be a breeze.

I had always been Meh about .40 , ever since there was a .40 .

But I just recently had a head slapping , light bulb moment, reinterprteting the .40 ( in a more positive light) .

Sprung it from Gun Jail , and tested it .

The unusual thing , is that the gun is Left Handed .Must have been issued to a Left Hand Ofc . I didn't notice , and Gary didn't notice .

I'm used to using finger for mag release with Left hand , but I have to stop and think with right hand .

The sights seem to be regulated for 165 gr . ( Good Thing to me .)
