The common issue is that the government is telling us what we can and cannot own (dogs & guns). It's an intrusion on our liberty. It's not a D or R or I thing.

Exactly and they're just trying to improve their client lists and expand their bank accounts. They make laws they know will make more clients.

sadly, i know people who are rabid (no pun intended) on this issue that don't see the parallels between them, but i suppose all you can do is work on getting them to see the light.

Thus those who are pro dog can vote pro dog without being seen as pro gun.

I really do not care why the vote against him as long as they do.

Dogs are also a self defense tool. As well as great pets .

dont know if you tried to compared the two to them but they way I put it in an earlier post swayed some people. They didnt think about it the way I put it. After that they agreed.

some people, sadly, i think are just going to resist the comparison. i think it's clear (and i gather you do to), but hey, what can you do.
