I just bought a new lawn tractor, so the old one has to go.

I purchased it new in 2007 from Sears. It's a Craftsman DLS-3500, model 71-28712. 42-inch deck, auto transmission, electric start. Included are the mulch kit, rear bagger setup, a new set of blades, and the operators manual. I've always done yearly maintenance on this. I have replaced the drive belt in the past.

The good: it runs just fine.

The bad: the rear bagger needs a new rubber connector/latch for the exhaust tube. Both front tires have slow leaks, probably the valve stems. It burns some oil, could be an external or internal leak.

Conditions: You have to come get it (Waldorf). I don't have any way to transport it, so if no one wants it 800-Got-Junk is getting a call. I can provide limited help in loading.

Anyone who wants this gets a shot. If you want this, just reply to this thread. Your post number will be your ticket number. I'll randomly pick the winner (assuming there's more than one person) on Friday the 21st. After that date, it goes to the junkman.

1-800 is going to bend you over and tear you a new one with there pricing. I work part time for another large junk removal company and there minimum price is $180, and they are cheaper then 1-800. Worst case if you can drag it out to the road and put free on it, it will be gone in no time.

Thanks for the info. I guess if I disassemble it I can take the parts to the metal recycling place.

    As quick as somebody says,

    “Jose, do you see?” “

”Manuel, it looks right for the price”

That tractor will be in the back of a pickup truck
