I have an 84 I quite like and I would buy an 85 if I found a good deal. I really like the looks and idea of this but I dont like it $800.00 worth.

Bought a 92X RDO Compact last year - had less chances to acclimate myself with it than I'd like, with a busy holday season, but have been impressed so far. My first beretta, in fact.

Mostly this is for the folks who think the Cheetah is the cats meow. Don't start drooling but, Beretta is coming out with a upgraded Cheetah. Here it is, the new 80X Cheetah!

The 80x Cheetah reimagines the legendary platform, with a new sleek design and enhanced features. Ergonomically redesigned for modern day carry, the 80X Cheetah includes a smaller Vertec style grip profile, the X-treme S Double/Single trigger, skeletonized hammer, a 13+1 round capacity, and comes optics-ready out of the box.

The 80x Cheetah will also be available with 10 round magazines. Now we need to get it on the handgun roster.

I have bee wanting a performance 92x for a long time. I can't justify it.
Justification for any further firearms purchases left the building for me about 20 years ago. FSA2013 provided some justification, but I think I might have gone a little overboard.

Massive difference between "want" and "need". Might need to buy a left hand 12 gauge semi for my son in the near future. Maybe one for hunting and one for clays. Same goes for a hunting rifle and I am thinking about a left handed Ruger M77 Hawkeye in 6.5CM. Other than that, I don't really "need" anything.

Still want the 92X performance, a Colt Python, something in 10mm, and to finish building my Staccato 2011. I want a Beretta DT-11 too, but I am hoping Beretta will eventually offer it with game scenes instead of scroll work on the side plates.

Love my 92FS (after I learned about slide bite the hard way…always use the slide release :tinfoil2:)

Even with tiny hands, the gun feels so damn stable and easy to bullseye. I’ve long thought about a smaller version that is more concealable. The 80X seems like just the ticket. Sadly I can’t justify two carry guns and my 365XL is just too handy and convenient.

Enough about my tiny hands though.

My 92 FS Inox and 92X Compact.

The Inox is hands down my favorite pistol to shoot. I bought it used from United for $600, and it has the cool factor (for me at least) of being manufactured here in Maryland. I have, since acquiring it, upgraded to all Wilson Combat springs and polished the hammer and sear. Double action is buttery smooth and single action is a crisp 2.5 lbs.

Love those 92FS Inoxes! Here's mine.

I've owned several Berettas in the past...a 950 Jetfire, a Billenium...M9 and M92FS. I could never get to warm up to the 92 series that much...it's a big pistol for just a 9mm hole in the barrel. The only one I own now is this NIB M9A3 I bought in an auction for some distance below wholesale. I haven't decided whether to keep it any longer...it sits in the safe with little love.

I agree with you about the geip and feel of the 92 pistol. I love 1911’s and the92 grip is very foreign. It is a very controllable pistol, thpugh.

I am on my second Taurus 92 and I have shot the Berretta 92 a time or two. On the present Taurus I did some work eliminated that heft. I slimmed the grips, reduced the thickness of and reserrated the front and back straps. Now that the grips are sized about right I just need to get some composite grips and finish it up. The feel is much different now and mating to the hand much friendlier.

Some years back a fellow officer was relocating to a police job in the midwest. He had a Taurus 99 he sold me cheap just to get rid of it. When shooting it I had the sights cranked all the way over and the group still wouldn't come in.

I traded it at a gun show for a then DCM M1 Garand unissued HRA model...and got $100 more in trade-in for the Taurus than I had in it. Back then the M1 was about $800...great deal.

You got that kind of a deal on a Taurus? The dealer was an idiot.

I was issued the old M9 when I was serving and never really understood the hate people had for it.
Me either. I carried it every day for many years. Now, with the advent of lasers and reticles, maybe that long of a sight radius doesn't afford the advantage it once had. However, shooting ball, it had very little muzzle rise.

I have my step-dad's personal 92FS from when the sheriff's department switched and the deputies all got to purchase personal ones at a deep discount. The trijicon is dead but I haven't bothered to send the slide off for replacement.

That M9A3 though is extremely sweet.

With all of this talk about Beretta and Taurus 92-series guns, I just realized: don't think I've ever shown you guys my collection of silver "Wonder 9's". So...please see attached. (Note: I've also got a regular black Taurus PT92 and SIG P226, because I like having a black version and a silver version of everything for some reason.)
