Mostly this is for the folks who think the Cheetah is the cats meow. Don't start drooling but, Beretta is coming out with a upgraded Cheetah. Here it is, the new 80X Cheetah!

The 80x Cheetah reimagines the legendary platform, with a new sleek design and enhanced features. Ergonomically redesigned for modern day carry, the 80X Cheetah includes a smaller Vertec style grip profile, the X-treme S Double/Single trigger, skeletonized hammer, a 13+1 round capacity, and comes optics-ready out of the box.

Nice! And for those who didn't know:

Founded in the 16th century, Beretta is the oldest active manufacturer of firearm components in the world. In 1526 its inaugural product was arquebus barrels; by all accounts Beretta-made barrels equipped the Venetian fleet at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571.

I'm drooling over the 92 XI SAO.

I heard there will only be 1500 of the launch edition made (stainless with walnut grips).

    I NEED one of these!

I've owned several Berettas in the past...a 950 Jetfire, a Billenium...M9 and M92FS. I could never get to warm up to the 92 series that much...it's a big pistol for just a 9mm hole in the barrel. The only one I own now is this NIB M9A3 I bought in an auction for some distance below wholesale. I haven't decided whether to keep it any longer...it sits in the safe with little love.

That m9a3 looks slick. I was issued the old M9 when I was serving and never really understood the hate people had for it.

If you transitioned from a 1911, you probably wouldn't be a happy camper. I was one of those and didn't like it because it was too big for my hand and wasn't as accurate as my 1911.

I regret not buying a 92FS back in 2013. instead, I bought a Beretta PX4 Storm. If MSI wins the HQL litigation, a Beretta 92X Performance is on my list of wants. The 80X looks really nice too and is now on my list of wants too. Thanks John!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one of these as well, and really like it. In fact I suffered thru the ATF NFA wait to get a FDE 9mm can specifically for this pistol.

For those that say the grip is too big, this particular model is standard with a smaller, thinner grip (see above TOMB pic), and comes with a fatter standard grip in the box for those with the nostalgia of the old models or catchers mitts for hands.

I don’t have any experience with the older hated 92 or M9 grip, but this “newer” A3 grip fits me very nice. I very much like, and recommend this pistol. The newer ‘A4’ model is equipped similarly as I understand.

My 92 FS Inox and 92X Compact.

The Inox is hands down my favorite pistol to shoot. I bought it used from United for $600, and it has the cool factor (for me at least) of being manufactured here in Maryland. I have, since acquiring it, upgraded to all Wilson Combat springs and polished the hammer and sear. Double action is buttery smooth and single action is a crisp 2.5 lbs.

My name is linkstate and I became a Beretta and Langdon Tactical fanboy at the same time.

Nice. Hope they do one without the rail. Looks like the 92 compact without rail is gonzo.

Also hoping Langdon is working up his magic on these.
