Florida – FL Supreme Court Ruled that their Preemption Law means exactly what it says. If local authorities pass ordinance concerning firearm etc That the Local Officials can be held responsible. You can read the decision at
    https://handgunlaw.us/documents/ago...ption_Penalities_Apply_to_Local_Officials.pdf

Hawaii - They have started issuing permits in Hawaii. Thing is Hawaii is 5 counties and their permits are issued by county and are only valid in the county they are issued in. 5 main islands so 5 counties. Some are passing their own restrictions on carry and the state is talking about expanding their location restrictions. Check out the Hawaii Page as it is different than all the other state pages because of the 5 different issuing agencies with 5 different set of rules/regs for issuing. https://www.handgunlaw.us/states/hawaii.pdf

Illinois – now has a mag ban and other restrictions on long guns etc.
    https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/102/HB/PDF/10200HB5471lv.pdf

New Jersey – New York - Both states are a mess. Their new carry laws just about make it impossible to carry a firearm even with one of their permits that they are having a hard time issuing. The courts are involved and there have been Stays on some court orders and then lifted and then put in place again. It makes it difficult to keep up and it could take a long time to get it all cleaned up in the courts. . If you want to know more of what is going on you can check out the State pages for NY and NJ
    https://www.handgunlaw.us/states/newyork.pdf
    https://www.handgunlaw.us/states/newjersey.pdf

Tennessee - A court decision has forced Tennessee into issuing permits to those 18 and older.
    https://handgunlaw.us/documents/agopinions/TN_18_20_Can_Carry.pdf

Texas – Has decided not to appeal a court order and will start issuing permits to those 18 and make the age to carry 18. You can read that
    https://handgunlaw.us/documents/agopinions/TX_US_Dist_Ct_18Y-O_Can_Carry.pdf

That Hawaii thing sounds like a A2A wet dream. County based permits.

if that stands, all the usual culprits will go in that direction.

I don't see how it stands but it will take time to deal with that's for sure. Hawaii might be the worst out of all of them.

Doesn't Bruen apply to the nation as a whole? And that offshore islands are not exempt?

Yes, but Bruen also said existing shall-issue licensing schemes are presumptively lawful. So there remains an outstanding question about just how burdensome passive-aggressive use of licensing schemes to impede exercise of 2A can become before being considered unconstitutional. It's something the courts will need to decide over the next decade or two as the Antis keep trying to nibble away rights within the confines of Bruen.

If they try the county-by-county permitting then they're going to get constitutional carry from SCOTUS.

Islands man. That’s a legal consideration that will carry more weight than simply “county line.”
Some tech billionaire owns one of them. Betcha he gets to carry, while his peasants are denied.

Indeed. It has become the new “American way.”

    Not all that new.

Big bucks always bought influence. Large sums of money are far more than simply aphrodisiacal; they are a nearly universal attractant. Not very selective, though.

NY already does County by County the NYC permit is good in all NY Countys.

They are issued within your county of residency. Upstate counties historically are not recognized in NYC (but are good in all other upstate counties), but permits issued in the city are recognized in all counties.
