Unfortunately, there wasn’t any surviving rifle records I could find at this point for Liperi Civil Guard. The rifle was probably issued to someone else than Hoviniemi since he also hold the office of nimismies (sheriff or rural police officer) and was thus exempted from military service during the wartime. There is a short article in Finnish about his old house at Liperi (https://kotiseutu-uutiset.com/uutiset/2018/08/29/nimismiehen-talo-palaa-juurilleen/).
Hoviniemi passed away at Helsinki on 22 November 1981.
