Thinking about applying for my wear and carry permit. How much time do you have to submit the application after you get printed? Do the prints "expire" at a certian time?

I think your application needs to be post marked within 72hrs of the fingerprinting.

While there is a blurb at the bottom of the 'Fingerprinting page' in the MSP Licensing Division Firearms section that references that Fingerprints are maintained for 72 hrs. After some back and forth discussion on this with someone on another site who was certain it wasn't 72 hrs, I called and posed the question to Licensing personnel. I was told that 72 hours for most purposes is correct (there are multiple licenses requiring fingerprints other that the HQL) BUT, for HQL only, it is 30 days.
