I fully inteneded to go to Nations and not get anything, but I caved on this purchase. Price was so nice on the tag, and I threw a offer under that and he took it so I got it for a steal! This is my 3rd Cav Carbine, but my first in 8mm Mauser. Not sure if I want to shoot it, some people say its not safe, but I am not sure if there is any truth to that. I believe it has a replacement stock as it does not have any crossbolts in it. Btw, no import marks present. Maybe a bring back?

Not sure what to make of the sling, any thoughts?

    Very nice find, Evan.

In celebration I think I'll take my cavalry carbine out to play at the Hooligan shoot tomorrow! :party29:

Sounds like you left a happy camper! Good find. These don't grow on trees.
BTW, sling looks original to me. Here's one on my 1891...
