In case anyone is interested, Anne Arundel Archers is holding a field archery shoot at the club on 16 July. Here's a quick link:
I believe the fees are $10 for members and $15 for non-members. If you've never been to AAA or done field archery, it's a little like 3d on steroids. In general, distances are marked yardage between 5 and 80 yards. The course at AAA is a really nice walk through the woods, shooting both flat and steep terrain. Targets are bales with paper faces. In the case of this shoot, the first 14 targets are animal and the second are standard field archery faces. Each animal target gets up to 3 arrows, the highest scoring one being the one that counts. The field round is 4 arrows for score per target.
A buddy and I are gonna shoot it trad-bow style
Anyone interested should certainly check it out, but if you're a stickbow shooter, we'd especially love a chance to meet up and have an all Trad squad.
