Interesting, the (3) HS510C-GRs I got were incredibly blurrly under magnification (the red dot versions were not). Maybe the HS is different than the HE.

I run mine straight unmagnified. Not every optic is a great candidate for magnification.

Nah. Bushnell's upper end stuff is made in Japan and has an extremely good reputation with precision guys for the price point.

A year or two ago, Cameraland was blowing out the Bushnell SMRS 1-8.5x scopes for $680, and they were a fantastic deal. Glass was easily as good as my Razors. Just a little heavy and not daylight bright.

Bushnell used to be Bausch & Lomb's lesser expensive line while they put the B&L name on the premium products. When B&L changed their marketing strategy all sport optics were given the Bushnell name...even the premium products and B&L saved their name for the non-sporting premium optics markets.

In other words...do your due diligence when buying Bushnell...you can find excellent quality products down to Tasco level products.

Bushnell I'd suggest became synonymous with Sportview to many and most, and for decades before Vortex ever existed.

What scope? All manufacturers pretty much have a cheap line made in china. There's also other ones from the same companies made in japan/germany/the usa.

Vortex is tacticool and has fanboys. Although I do have a Vortex Scout scope that was just fine for the price point.
