The list from MSP is inaccurate in multiple places (based on the sources they cite). I honestly think it's intentional to chill the right to carry in MD, but maybe I'm reading into it too far.The list in the post just mentioned aboard aircraft without distinguishing commercial and private aircraft. Just pointing out different rules apply for non-commercial aircraft.
As long as you have your W&C you're fine. You just have to report it stolen within 72 hours when... I'm sorry, if... it's stolen. So it's interesting that the rest area prohibitions states "unless secured in vehicle".... I thought it was illegal to leave a handgun un-attending in a vehicle in MD? Yeah or nay?
"Concealed is concealed" takes on more meaning every day, as does "EBMD". I was in yet ANOTHER place yesterday that had a sign saying they don't support the Bill of Rights, and they were none the wiser.

Nope. Not true. Nothing in transport sections or W&C says the gun must be on you.So it's interesting that the rest area prohibitions states "unless secured in vehicle".... I thought it was illegal to leave a handgun un-attending in a vehicle in MD? Yeah or nay?
To that point that to.As long as you have your W&C you're fine. You just have to report it stolen within 72 hours when... I'm sorry, if... it's stolen.
I wouldn't, however, leave a gun in the car with someone without a W&C. Too easy for police to claim they're the ones transporting it illegally (regardless of who it's registered to, assuming it's registered in MD).
And that is why we point out that the list is NOT to be trusted as printed and advise everyone to look up the specific law/regulation for the actual details and not the mythical details posted by MSP.The list in the post just mentioned aboard aircraft without distinguishing commercial and private aircraft.
