A friend in Woodbridge told me that Elite Shooting Sports is closing their doors to the public on May 31st because it was sold to Prince William County Sheriff's Department. Can anyone else confirm that?

I seem to recall that there was a mention about the owner's health being an issue on their FB page but didn't realize it was that serious.

Also......in some of the reporting or comments I think there was talk about continuing to somehow leave it open to the public....but IMHO I think that's either just pandering or wishfull thinking.

Sorry for the dupe thread but, this is not good news. I didn't get down to ESS often (couple of times a year) but, their 100 yard range sure was great for sighting-in rifles in a controlled environment. I'm going to miss that.
