One of my favorites. Mostly older fellows getting out of hunting (age, infirmity) and/or selling off what they no longer need. This means more steel and walnut less Black rifles and plastic fantastics. I've gotten some good deals there.

Pretty sure I used to hit this along with the Easton Waterfowl Festival. It's the weekend before now.

First time I saw that show was before the 1986 machine gun ban. Browning m2 .50 cal or an m60 for $2500. Uzi’s less than a grand. I bought an RWS pellet gun

We are going to stop by The Bagery around 930 to have some good food before hitting the show tomorrow. I'll be wearing a green Viet Vet hat. Say hi if you see me.

for me it was a good show, as usual I went looking for one thing (3" steel shot loads) and left with something different (a couple of shotguns).
No beef jerky (there is a food truck though) not a lot of crap, I could easily have bought several more guns at what I thought were bargains.
There is a super clean Ithaca NID 10 magnum for about a grand and a half which is really low (they only made about 800 of them in the 30's but I already have one, I passed on a nice sidelock 16 gauge Pieper/Bayard for around $600 which was a good deal as well.
I thought the ammo was stupid expensive but I haven't tried to buy any since before Covid and don't really need any.
Lots of nice collectable shotguns and rifles at mostly good prices.
Glad I went as it is also the NoVa Collectors show this weekend in Manassas - it was a coin toss for me

I had a great day. First breakfast at The Baggery and then I found primers for $90 at the show. I also picked up a box of Hornady Critical Defense for $25 and no tax.

What a nice way to close out fall!

Did you see the guy who had 9mm blazer for $25 a box? Not what I would call a good deal. I did find some 00 Buckshot for $6/ box, I guess that’s not terrible for current times.

I went Saturday morning and bought a Norinco 1897 riot gun at the second table in the door. Ive been looking for a 1897 for years. overall I thought it a great to a show not full of ARs and knives, jerky, pickles, etc. I did see a M1 Carbine in 5.7 spitfire, that was pretty cool.

I have a different opinion. I went yesterday morning. While the show was better than some other small to medium shows, I thought it was a shadow of it's former self. There were fewer C&R firearms than in the past although there were definitely some. The back room was almost entirely new recently manufactured hunting guns with only a handful of notable exceptions. Ammo prices, as mentioned by other was outrageous with a few exceptions. One guy had stacks of 9 mm for 20 to 30 bucks a box (FMJ). That can be had almost everywhere for prices like that and lower these days. Some who had reloading dies were asking almost new prices on older, previously owned dies. Some of the old guys doing this for years are no longer there. I guess some may have passed and others may just either not be well or just no longer bother. I did see an old acquaintance Dennis. He was there with a table full of collectable ammo plus a couple firearms much as he has done for years. These days he only goes to Easton and the Baltimore Arms show in the March. All in all a nice day out. But I came home a bit disappointed. For many years this was easily my favorite gun show. If it continues down it's current path, I'll probably not make it a priority to attend.

I wonder if MD new law that everything must be transferred has hurt it any? The one year I went, which was many year ago I feel there was a few tables of private owners set up selling some of there stuff. Are people also still walking around trying to sell? Mean the transfer process would be easy at a show, but just another hoop you need to jump thru.

There used to be a number of tables that weren't dealers. And, the same thought occurred to me about the new Maryland law. Many of those private sellers...most of these actually...had their 03 FFLs which would still allow for direct transfers of C&R long guns. I actually went there today with a few of mine printed off just in case. Never took them out

I did ask about a used MEC Jr 12 gauge loader that was for sale on a table and was told $200, I was thinking 50 - 75 bucks and just laughed and kept walking

I saw relatively few quality sxs shotguns. There used to be a guy there that would have several Darnes and others who had other quality guns. I did see several along the lines of Savage and old Baltimore Arms shotguns. There was one Savage Fox B in 410 that caught my attention. Also a couple Parker VH grade somewhat worn but probably OK shooters for around 1300 to 1500 It wasn't in bad shape, but also not really good shape or I would likely have been more interested. If someone wanted a Japanese made Win 101 there was one of those as well in great shape for 1k. Also a pretty nice 20 ga BPS I would guess from the 80s (not choke tubed - 500 I think). Also a Browning Citori multi barrel set with 20 ga, 28, and 410 (but 19k....they can keep it). So, yeah, there were a few things there, but not as much as in past years. And there weren't as many good prices as in the past in my estimation. And on a couple guns I asked about, there was no real bargaining They did have someone there to facilitate transfers.
And I guess the ATF had a table to ensure compliance, lol.

I went for a short visit today. It seemed better two years ago. There was a fair amount of old and interesting rifles and shotguns.
I went in the back room and saw the pricetag of the hi-point 995 carbine was $500. Damn. I feel like everything on those tables was much higher than what I think you could get it anywhere else.
