I finally decided to call ATF about my suppressors. After half a dozen tries and being on hold for 20 minutes, I left a message the last time. I left all the data they would ask for when they talk to you, if they ever talk to you.

Whatever you did, you did it the wrong way.

    NFA BATFE Branch:
General Questions, Directory Services, Status Inquiries - (304) 616-4500

Are you checking status? If so call the above with your serial number and seller info. They usually pick up fairly quickly and it takes about 2 mins. I have done it 2-3 times in the last month with a gun of mine.

You should also add you've a dozen solvent traps to sell, and you want to know the going price for them.

The ATF customer service team will personally show up at your door the same day to answer your questions.

Best to drop your dog off with the neighbors however.

I have no idea if they were paper or not. I ordered my suppressors from Silencershop over a year ago.

What? How do you order a suppressor and not know how the paperwork was submitted? Silencershop is in TX, correct? Is this a form 3 or form 4? Are you a FFL? Dealer to dealer form 3s take a few days to at worst like 3 months. So if you don't know what kind of paperwork was submitted, then probably none! If its a form 4, then it was paper a year ago and I have no idea how you don't know.

Please add some info so this makes some sense. Right now, it sounds like Silencershop took your money and did not submit anything. Either way, there is no way anyone could help with the lack of info posted in this thread.

I fill out the stuff that Silenser Shop provides. How it gets to the BATF I have no idea and don't really care. All I care about is the government doing its job and getting my suppressor stamps approved.

SS sent me notices when the forms were finished and when my checks were cashed. They did their job now ATF has to do theirs.

BTW, called twice this morning, half hour waits each time, no answer.

If his Silencer paperwork was submitted over a year ago its paper, Eform4s through Silencer Shop are a fairly new thing like Jan of this year new.

If you don't really care how things get to the ATF, its hard to help. You did not answer any question on how its coming which makes it impossible to help. If you don't care about this stuff, then it comes when it comes... I guess... the ATF is probably doing their job on their sweet time, nothing new there. Sound more like you just want to complain than actually get an answer. I get that but we have a thread on ATF wait times and you can complain in there rather than start a new thread that makes it seem like you actually want help.

I have never had to wait that long, so I called as I have a Form 4 I need to check on. I called at 2:36 and got put on hold to 2:51 when it got to my turn and I had my answer in 2 mins and am typing this now.

Ideal no, but nothing out of the usually going on. Wait time on most transfers coming to individuals is 12.5 months right now.

I finally got through today. It took about 25 minutes and a nice lady got on the phone. She told me everything I have is "pending". That was the best she could do for me.

I am now planning to send that twit Anthony Brownstain as letter requesting that he look into the matter of why my stamp approval is taking so long. I'll be sure to remind him that I am a "loyal" Demonrat, a decorated veteran and tax payer. I may even choke and call him a "brother in arms". :puke2:

Ha, you think writing a letter will help! It now the paper you write it on or everything in the entire world would be writing ever day. ATF should have told you when you went pending. They are at about mid June 2021 right now. So if they told you after that... well welcome to the line!

A year or longer or not unusual. I had one go 18 months pre covid. All you can do is wait. If they said pending, it is pending. That means sitting on someones desk in big pile.
I called this morning to ask about a eForm 4 trust and was told it went pending on 15 March this year. I asked how long for eForms and she said pretty much no idea on eForms yet.

I called them before regarding my form 4 and the lady I talked to was super nice and helpful. ATF is not all evil..
