Hi, everybody. DIFTA is hosting a Fun Shoot this Saturday the 5th at the WAC-IWLA near Damascus, MD. Target setup begins at 9am; the sight-in range goes hot after the course is ready; the Fun begins at about 10am. This is a great opportunity to try Field Target without all the cut-throat competition and seriousness of normal, non-fun(???) DIFTA matches. There is no fee for the Fun Shoot.
If you have the slightest interest in Field Target or plinking, please join us! Bring whatever air rifles and/or air pistols you like and have a good time. Or, bring only yourself: there should be plenty of fancy FT rifles to share and sample (regulars: remember to bring lots of guns!).
For this Fun Shoot, Paolo has set up an FT Golf course, like we did in June. Essentially, Saturday is a Fun Shoot, therefore you can do whatever you want, as long as it is safe.
However, if you want to follow any kind of format, Paolo has prepared three levels of FT golf: 18 holes, up to 5 shots per target or 3 minutes, whichever comes first. You can choose to shoot Supergolf: 36 holes, up to 4 shots per target or 7 minutes per lane (3 targets).
Of course, you can shoot and score as a regular FT match.
The next match after this is the very next weekend, on September 12, followed by match on October 10. See the chapter calendar for the full 2015 schedule.
