It's a shame that Randolph likely doesn't ride Metrorail after yesterday's shooting at the Southern Ave station lot, It seems some in the MSM are referring to Metro stations as shooting galleries.
There aren't enough Metro police at the stations to be a visible deterrent to these criminals.

As legal carriers, we're the scapegoat even though we're not committing the crime.

Plaintiff's Amended Complaint is due on or before 2/1/2023. Hope it does the trick this time. The NJ decision should help.

Ageeed, They can't even enforce their newly reenacted fare evasion scheme, much less react to violent actors on busses/trains. I hope Randolph comes to his senses, and realizes that one need not be an off-duty FBI agent at Metro Center to defend one's self!!

    So true.

Still waiting on the Plaintiff's attorney to file an amended complaint. Hopefully Judge Moss gets the shaming he deserves.

There's an administrative issue which the Plaintiff's Attorney needs to address by 1/31/2023. This came up in Hanson, which is challenging DC's 10 Round Magazine Capacity Limit in District of Columbia District Court.

NOTICE of Provisional/Government Not Certified Status re24 REPLY to opposition to motion re8 MOTION for Preliminary Injunction filed by NATHAN CHANEY, ANDREW HANSON, ERIC KLUN, TYLER YZAGUIRRE.(Lyon, George). Your attorney renewal/government certification has not been received. As a result, your membership with the U.S. District & Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Columbia is not in good standing, and you are not permitted to file. Pursuant to Local Civil Rule 83.9, you must immediately correct your membership status by following the appropriate instructions on this page of our website: https://www.dcd.uscourts.gov/attorney-renewal. Please be advised that the presiding judge in this case has been notified that you are currently not in good standing to file in this court. Renewal Due by 1/31/2023. (zbaj)

Hope this gets sorted out quickly because it presumably affects Plaintiff's attorney's ability to file an an Amended Complaint in this case as well (which is due on or before 2/1/2023) since both of these cases are pending in the District Court for the District of Columbia.

Was doing some more background reading about Angelo vs. DC (Metro Carry case). DC's application of a higher standing requirement for non-first amendment cases, such that a litigating party must be threatened with prosecution to challenge the underlying law (blatantly unconstitutional in this case), conflicts with the standing requirements of other federal courts and even that of the Supreme Court. This means that this is the kind of case which could go all the way to the Supreme Court, and it probably will. Hopefully Plaintiff's Attorney gets in his amended Complaint soon when this administrative stuff is sorted out, but we likely have a long road ahead of us on this.

    Lets not forget this incident.

Witnesses to fatal stabbing on D.C. Metro train didn't intervene

I read in some other article Sutherland was saying "Help Me!" as he was being murdered.
Here's another one from today which really hurts to read:

Wouldn't have had to tackle him if you had a Legal Conceal Carrier there of course. Condolences to the deceased Metro Worker's family. Damn.

    Live Stream:

You can scroll back for the Police Briefing and for the on-scene reporter who's also getting witness statements.

    Police Press Briefing at 33:50
    Reporter: 1:05:50
    Witness Interview: 1:07:55

    Horrifying.

1:08:10: Fox 5 DC Cameraman --> "I won't shoot your face. I can avoid your faces. Don't worry about that." :shocked3:

Keep this in mind if you ever find yourself talking to a reporter with a camera around.

Yet, crack open a bottle of water or grab a saltine out of the baggie and you are off to the central booking facility.

Thank God nobody else had a gun. Imagine if someone just decided to shoot the guy waving the gun around…it would be unacceptable if a disturbed person pointing a gun at innocents were injured.

You need to include the sarcasm emoji because unfortunately there are some people who will absolutely agree with that.
