    In the boonies of MoCo
Anyone have any good experiences with any day camps for kids in the 8-10 years old range here in MoCo? We used to use Camp Eagle up in Ijamsville which was awesome for our son because they had a pool on-site and did swim lessons every morning. He was attending the Goddard School of Clarksburg day camp, but he has pretty severe ADHD which causes him to be somewhat impulsive and wander away from his group. That wouldn't be an issue if everything was on-site, but they do two trips to the local pool every week along with another full-day field trip and they won't let him go because they're worried about him wandering off.

We've got three weeks to find an alternative. I was thinking the Urbana YMCA, but haven't talked to anyone with experience there, and nobody would answer the phone when I called the school age and camp office earlier today.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Smaller-sized day camps are more than welcome. Can't go father north than Urbana/Green Valley, and Potomac is the southern limit. Laytonsville/Olney would be the eastern limit, and Germantown/Boyds the western.

We've done Green Valley, and Frederick YMCA and the kids like it.
YMCA is also good for a last minute camp because they usually have openings.
Adventure Park USA has a camp the kids liked. That may be filled up. You'd have to contact them.

This year we are having a problem because we signed the kids up for half day specialty camps, and my wife started a new job which is causing us some headaches.
