I recently picked up a 457. Been trying to get one for quite a while. I have hopes to participate in some rimfire comps, but having this as a companion to center fire rifles will slow the use of reloading components a little.

I got out yesterday morning to do some testing. I was happily surprised. It did OK with cci sv suppressed and Eley. Trigger is good, but I think it can be better. The headspace on these seems to be pretty tight compared to my other rimfire. Anyway, some groups bellow.

    Best of day, ELEY Match

I put a McMaster spring (9657K611) in my stock trigger and have a clean break around 15oz. I used my little crow ar trigger guard tool to press out the trigger pin instead of beating it out - it is flared on both sides. I also stoned the top of the trigger that engages the sear as it was machined very rough. I'd give you a couple of my extra springs but im down in frederick county. I wanted to stay in base class so I got a pro varmint and an arken scope.

Can I asked how much it ran you? They were recently on sale at Sportmans Warehouse for $350 but by the time I loggged in to order one they were out of stock.

Thanks for that info especially the part #. I don’t think I’d be competitive in any class, lol. I probably should start in a stock class with my Savage fvsr. I wanted the CZ for a while though.

Those are good 50-yard groups but, I'd try a few more loads to see if any will shoot tighter. I've heard that SK Pistol Match and SK Standard Plus shoot extremely well out of rifles with 16-18" barrels.

I don't think you will be able to compete in any NRA matches with a 15oz trigger. As I recall, small bore rules require at least a 3 # trigger.
