LOL. Two guys from my Basic Training class had the same name slight spelling difference both had that line used on them. One got sent to Korea instead of Germany the other got sent to Germany instead of Korea. From what I understand they eventually just re-wrote the orders so they didn't have to move the guys again. At the time that was quite surprising, we all joked the officer that decided to use logic got a huge promotion. :D
"you are here now" has long been used as an excuse to dragoon people (military and otherwise).

You sir have my hopes up. 2 weeks and I can call it 365 days since my check was cashed. Conveniently I also recently got a threaded 45acp barrel for my Glock 21 AND I have all of the parts to build a Glock 21 Long slide, threaded, at that! ON top of the threaded G34 barrel/slide I have for my G17 (eventually I'll build the spare 17 frame I have to house the G34 slide permanently). I also have a threaded 17 barrel, but its kind of rough. A blem BCA barrel. I have some of their AR barrels that run really, really, shockingly well. But their Glock barrel has significant machining marks on the barrel ramp that need to be smoothed out, or else I think even jacketed ball ammo might hang (it really is that bad. Also, I guess I can't complain TOO much having gotten it for $30).

But I'll settle for running suppressed 9mm using the G34 slide/barrel.

So my Obsidian 45 should be able to be immediately tested (I have the pistons for 45 and 9mm).

Supposing it breaks out of NFA jail in a couple of weeks. Please. Oh please. I'd like that very much.

I will light a candle and pray a Novena for your situation... best of luck!

I’m very curious to see how it runs. I attempted to install a compensator on my 35 and lost interest. Didn’t run for crap and I tried all the online fixes. I’m sure I can get it sorted when I have some time. GL

Are you talking about a compensator or a suppressor? I can't see how a compensator would cause operations issues.

I agree but that is where I’m at. Now I’m getting motivated to dive back in. I didn’t have access to all the knowledgeable people here last time I messed with it. I was also using it more back then so down time and unreliability wasn’t an option.

Depends on the compensator I'd imagine. Too much drag on the recoil operation can short stroke it. Or if the compensator is sitting "too flush" with the slide it can interfere both as it is unlocking and as it is returning to battery.

At a guess, a lighter recoil spring and/or higher power ammunition needed.

Not the same, but one of the few complaints I've seen on the lone wolf 45 long slides, is all of that extra weight makes running lightly loaded 45acp really troublesome. Especially with a comp on. Even with a really light recoil spring, the ammo just doesn't have the oomph to cycle and then return it fully to battery. I am not planning to run a comp on my 45 long slide, but I suspect my 230gr handloads I have running at around 650fps might have some issues cycling now, which they didn't have in my regular 21. Let alone suppressed. Fortunately I've only got about 100 rounds loaded still. So I can just up my charge of BE by a couple or a few tenths of a grain to warm it up some. Not like I am particularly near supersonic, so it should still suppress really well.

Has anyone gotten a can back yet via e-form 4? The 90 day promise has been a lie, I have a rimfire can on e-form 4, certified at the LGS on 1/21/22 (118 days and counting). I got batch approvals back from much older paper form 4’s for two that I never expected until at least June. My LGS told me that since they’ve been submitting/certifying e-form 4’s, they’ve only gotten ONE back so far. That’s disheartening.

I’m at 35 days on an eForm 4 so not close yet… only thing to add is that my dealer, Cindy’s Hot, told me on the phone after I certified that I should absolutely expect it in 90 days as they had already “got a bunch back right around that point”. ‍Who knows…

118 days? Laughs in paper form 4.

I'm at 400 days for one form 4, 386 days for 2 form 4's, and 381 days for the final form 4.

Processed in the order received, my ass.

The average on the NFA subreddit is ~111 days. 90 days is the eventual goal, not a promise. I'm at 93 days, and was told to figure 120 just to be safe. Still better than everybody still waiting on paper Form 4's.

Why does it take so long? Don't they just put your info (name SS#) into the computer, hit enter? No bad stuff shows up in the electronic databases, approved?

3 weeks from the 1 year club on my last paper F4. Got one within 100 days on a paper form 4 in 2020, and a 9 day approval on an eform 1 last year. My FFL is saying the eform 4 thing is horrible, went from practically no denied to at least 1/4 from the first month it was live, ANY little mistake in spelling or format and it's declined. Of course the website is buggy, glitchy and sometimes you type, or hit a button, it doesn't move, then jumps 2 pages ahead when it gets unstuck. Said it takes HOURS to submit trust F4s. Haven't had much trouble myself, but apparently individual apps are getting easier and easier and trusts are getting tougher, especially comparing trust apps before they were nerfed by the ATF a few years ago.

It was a little laggy when I bought my suppressor through Silencershop and did the validation but beyond that it was pretty painless
