Well we’re just making the best of what this particular rifle has to offer.

I am going to be patient on a Weirhauch 50S. Set it up with a Williams FP-AG-TK

If you are going to spend that much, save a little more and get this. You won't regret it.

I’ve actually been talking to someone who owns a bunch of HW’s. I’m liking what he is saying about the 80SL. Machined receiver sounds good. And I can snag it for cheaper than the R9. That leaves me some scratch for the Williams

I’m not abandoning ship on the Crosman. Have some parts showing up today…but I did put in an order for a Weirhauch 50S in .177

.177 is great for practice shooting. The only problem I have with them is My 70+ hands don't have the dexterity to pick them up so my go to is .25 these days.

I really appreciate the input you have provided me. And that’s why most of my friends are your age as well…most of my friends are retired and I have many in your decade as well. Y’all already know it all, and I appreciate being able to leech it out of ya!

    Where they send me.
John has me by a bit. However, he is right on the 177's being tough at times. I go to .22's then.

The action of the gun makes a big difference also. Some are tough to load no matter your age/pellet size.

Glad that you're enjoying it! Airguns are great and pretty inexpensive in the long run., especially when one looks at ammo prices now.
