I am selling some of my guns and was curious as to what I should allow cost wise to transfer/ship through a local FFL? I want to include the transfer and shipping in the price of the guns to make the transactions as clean/simple as possible. The way I understand it the best way is to go through an FFL and have them do the transfer and shipping?
Any real world experiences/advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

A few years ago I shipped some guns across the country to Seattle, WA.
The guns were part of an estate. The guy in WA basically googled gun shops and found Duffy's in Blackrock Baltimore County. He paid Duffy's with a credit card over the phone and I simply walked in their shop, handed them the guns. I think they copied my driver license and that was it. At the time they charged a flat $50, included shipping. It has to be a lot more now though.

I sold a few guns on Gun Broker and shipped guns UPS and FedEx for repair not using an FFL.
Policies have changed though, can't anymore except USPS.
Many people say don't ask don't tell.
Federal law says you must inform a shipper if there's a firearm in the package.
More flies in the ointment, if you ship a restricted item and they find out, it will be confiscated by the shipper or if it gets lost, stolen or damaged, insurance will be a waste of $$$.
The NRA article below has links to both UPS and FedEx.
