Anyone thinking of using a body cam for W&C back up if heaven forbid you get in a situation where you have to draw your firearm? Just wondering what the options are out there if anyone has pursued that route.

Thinking legal ramifications as well. Having Video can quickly clear you or create more problems.

Carrying more “stuff” is a hassle, unless there are really small micro cams as options.

    Terrible idea.

I am well experienced and I am VERY confident of my skills and abilities should I get into a thing. However, when something like a shooting gets scrutinized WITHOUT video, any little error I make, I will leave it up to the investigators and evidence collection unit. I do not need to have a camera on me to help them out.
Just as a video could help you, it can also bury you.
We can change the "Don't talk to the police" comment to " Don't communicate to the police".

You'll talk to the police 3 times... 911, responding officers, and an investigator. There will be video out there. Let them find it and draw their conclusions.

    Sage advice, speaking from experience.

Not sure how to attach such a rig. I carry so much crap now, I don't think I'll go this route.

Camera small enough to put on the gun?
On the gun would kinda be a waste of time since it would be whatever led up to you drawing the gun that would be most critical.

Doesn't MD still have 2 party consent laws concerning recording? I realize you have no R.E.P. in public but private property might be another matter.

So... Self defense is dead? Im trying to find out why this is so bad. It seems like prosecutors are paid to hate people that don't die?

So if you do have say, a dash camera in your car/truck, are you required/obligated to turn that footage over to the police? Or do they need a warrant for it?
