Looking through the new Hunting guide I found this. Gonna affect my plans for hunting Cunningham this year. Either will have to quarter myself or find local place to take it. May even just hunt ES this year.

Page 30, CWD area expanded to include Allegany, Washington, Frederick, and Carroll Counties.

I process myself inside the management area, so all good there. You can transport to your processor of choice still, but not do it yourself out of the area.

Whole deer carcasses or deer parts cannot
be transported out of the disease management
area except for:
• Meat with no part of the spinal column,
backbone or head attached;
• Hindquarters and front shoulders with
no spinal column or backbone attached;
• Cleaned hide with no head attached;
• Skull plate cleaned of all meat and brain
tissue;
• Antlers with no meat or soft tissue
attached;
• Finished taxidermy mounts or tanned
hides;
• Whole deer carcasses or parts being
transported directly to approved meat
processors or taxidermists.

Do I understand correctly that it means I can transport county to county as long as it's in the region, and or if the origin county is not in region, but destination county is? In other words, living in Fred co, am I good to transport back home from Carrol and moco?

As long as you take it to a listed processor. I read it to mean you can take it out of a county to another county as long as it’s to one of their listed processor’s. They want to make sure the brain and spinal cord don’t end up just any ole place in a non CWD area. Reason I can’t just take it out of Frederick County to my home in AA Co. and do it myself.
