2 inches is a huge amount. I have to ask why? The combs on them are designed well for scope use. .02

I have low rings on my Ruger American .308 and the scope is still too high.

Great question should have stated the reason: my upper spine & neck is fused with arthritis. Therefore I am a walking board.

There was a recent thread that had some great ideas. Can't remember the exact thread title. Hopefully someone will chime in.

There was a product that had inserts that slipped under a stretchy material that was wrapped around the stock. Looked perfect your needs.

    Best wishes, Sir.

I would say Bradley Cheek rest, but they only go up to 1 5/8s on the height you are looking for 2. I have them on 2 of my rifles, and they work well.

In a pinch some cut and stacked pool noodle / pt pad pieces can be taped and covered up with some vet tape / sports wrap. It ain't pretty but it works ok and you can stack to whatever height you want

For my Ruger 10/22, I used the guide in the following thread on the Project Appleseed forums: https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=51679.msg347097#msg347097

I used 4" x 4" 1/8 inch adhesive foam pads that I cut in halves and built up until I had the correct height. I just laid it on the buttstock and didn't tape it on. I used a self adhesive cohesive wrap bandage that holds the pads in place.

I did not use moleskin like the guide uses... I didn't think I needed it and still don't.

    Here's my finished product:
