Hey all,

Just joined the forum after lurking for a few days, lots of good info on here so it looks like I'll be sticking around. A little about me, my name is Mike, I live in Smithsburg but I grew up in Frederick County. I plan on purchasing a couple of rifles in the next year, right now I own 4 guns a NFE snake charmer (first gun), Mossberg Maverick (home security), Ruger 10/22 and it looks like I'll be taking delivery of my Springfield XD .45 on Saturday. I'm thinking about building an AR at this point but I'm left handed so that limits my options on uppers to DPMS and Stag. I only target shoot at this point, might look into hunting in the future. At this point I'm looking for a couple of places to shoot in the Washington / Frederick County areas, I only know of the range in Frederick on Linganore Road (off of 144), but if you know any others let me know. Well just wanted to say hi! See you all around.

Where you getting your XD from?

I bought the XD at the Silverado show in Frederick from Just Guns. They are located in Baltimore, kind of a hike but I figured I would give them a shot. I had a couple members from a car forum highly recommend them and so far I am very satisfied with them.

It wasn't your delivery. I'm at work running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. I'm just quickly glancing at the shooting forum, and I didn't catch your humor. But it is a long haul from Washington County to Frederick so it is possible you've never been to that gun show.(LOL)

Right. I've been the Fairgrounds plenty of times. Grew up around there. But I've never been to the gunshow held there. I do however try to hit the Greencastle, PA one for 30 rounders and bulk ammo.
