Anyone know Lollar's position on the 2A and the SB281 BS?? I am leaning towards being a Lollar fan, but need to know this to cement my choice.

If his appearance and speech in Annapolis is any indication, he's a strong 2A supporter.

The Baltimore Sun said he was a "social libertarian." What exactly does that mean (I think I know, but I did not see specific issue positions laid out on his web site).

It means essentially "live and let live". Or, as long as what you do doesn't directly infringe on someone else's rights, government should not be involved.

I wouldn’t waste my money on him. Guy is completely unelectable, has very little experience, and we have zero chance of winning a gubernatorial election in the first place. We need to be focusing on smaller elections that we can actually win. If you have some excess money, drop a few in with SAF or NRA.

I've come away from putting my money on him...yes the saf, nra and MSI are far better choices.

If we are not going to support OUR candidates how can we complain about OUR situation. We need to get involved like we did last legislative session. Find candidates to support or become one.

The point is, when we do have a good candidate like Lollar, he should run for a seat that he has a possibility of winning; not one where there's a snowball's chance in h*ll. It's like putting a square peg into a round hole.

It's a waste of time, money, and importantly, political talent. It's also demoralizing, even though everybody knows from the start that it's fruitless. Republicans need to get out of this self-propagating defeatism. Putting excellent people up for public political slaughter isn't the way to do it. Taking baby steps is.

Mr. Lollar was a guest on WCBM this morning. Frank asked him what he would do about some of the things passed by the GA this year, including SB281.

His response was that he would work to take it to a state-wide referendum.
