I agree Black Hog is better than Mission. When I’m in the office Mission is closer, (pretty much across the road) so I’ll go in there for lunch. Any other time, I chose Black Hog.

I liked Famous Dave’s before it closed (Frederick) and we used to go to Black Hog all the time but both of us prefer Mission since it opened here to either of those.

We had our company party Friday and we had Black Hog cater it for us.
Best BBQ in the area as far as I'm concerned. The brisket is to die for.
This is a place I'd take my wife out for a Sunday drive in the countryside and go there for lunch/dinner.

Black Hog lost my business when they removed their "Double Smoked" sandwich from the menu. It was a slice of smoked beef bologna (something they don't do anymore), pulled pork. coleslaw and a few crispy fries (unlike Primanti's overabundance of limp, soggy fries), all on a bun. It was that signature sandwich that got me in the door the first time. It was unique and amazing. I demand it's return!

We've been going a lot less frequently as well over the last year. They switched up their chicken recipe a bit (my wife isn't a big bbq fan and only likes the chicken there) and it's nowhere near as flavourful as the last iteration.
