I know this question has been asked before but what are the requirements for an honorably discharged vet WITH an HQL to get a CCW? Is the training required? Are fingerprints required again?

Your DD 214 is your training document.
New fingerprints are required.
Fee is $150.

Who is exempt from the training?
Md. Public Safety Art. § 5-306(b)

(b) An applicant for a permit is not required to complete a certified firearms training course under subsection (a) of this section if the applicant:
(1) is a law enforcement officer or a person who is retired in good standing from service with a law enforcement agency of the United States, the State, or any local law enforcement agency in the State;
(2) is a member, retired member, or honorably discharged member of the armed forces of the United States or the National Guard;
(3) is a qualified handgun instructor; or
(4) has completed a firearms training course approved by the Secretary.

As a veteran you don’t need an HQL.

As a veteran you don’t need an HQL.

Well in a way, if you are a retired Veteran you don’t need one but as a one and done (for lack of a better word) Veteran you still need an HQL.
