Considering this SB281 thing, most likely it wouldn't surprise MSP at all if a DC purchased many, many firearms before 10/01, even in large quantities.

Not sure about the details, but I've been heard of people buying a large number (75ish) at once for auctions, charity raffles and the like. The last guy I spoke to about that kind of thing said they were sold to him (with the accompanying background checks,) and remained in his name until they were won/sold/given at the event(s).

I would imagine while not "common", it does occur from time to time and MSP has probably seen it enough times to not be too concerned.

Move to the South or other free states. I dont think you could buy enough for the ATF to care.

Not uncommon for 10-20 stripped lowers to be bought at a time down South.

I know some doom squirells that bought alot more than that at once.

In the southwest (Az, Nm, Ca, some other), FFLs have to report multiple long gun sales.

    YES!

That's where I was going with it.

The MSP or ATF may pay you a visit to see if you still have all 100 of the toys you bought.

If you only had 80 of your toys, they may think you are in "Da Binis" without a license.

Conducting "Binis" without an FFL is most definately frowned upon.

Can they do that? Sounds like a violation of the 4th if they do

I did 32 at one time with no problem.

I have been involved with a transfer of over a hundred guns at one time, A guy had a family member pass away in another state and had the guys whole collection shipped in to him I think it was 140-160 handguns. Now this was several years ago, but nothing has changed.
