    It's interesting that this video begins by using essentially the same term that we do -- Curio & Relic.

    Even though this clip is in Spanish, you'll get the gist of what's being said just by watching it. One of the main features is how some of the Argentine gauchos modified surplus Remington rolling blocks, making them into cheap handguns.

    Yep. They sure did Bubba up some old rifles, but if you'll notice how old those modified pieces appear to be, it was a loooong time ago. Also, the rifles they started with were probably close to being ready for the scrap heap when they were cut down, in order for those guys to be able to afford them. The gauchos who did the unfortunate modifications were collectively some tough SOBs--even without the hand canons.
