I posted a thread in shotguns about this, but I should have put it here, thinking again. For info about the gun, check that thread. So here's the ~1895 Burgess back on the range, shooting 2 1/2" BP shells like she should...for the first time in who knows how long? Properly repaired, and busting targets in the field.

Totally believable. Did you locate another?

I'm working on it...this one needs a lot of work and I'm on the fence about even picking it up. Would never be original, the barrel has been cut to 19", magazine cap was replaced and tube was bulged to fit it, grip was broken, etc...if they guy comes down to a price I can justify it, I'm in...otherwise, it's all his to keep.

Ooh, sounds like a rough case, but if you can get the right price it'd be a lot of fun with how short it is.
