    7 Bills signed…:party29:
    https://gov.texas.gov/news/post/gov...awFkySuIOYVONPQ7Pp2rwjNhkQLzfg_6iuho6T0TgYQho

Senate Bill 19 (Schwertner/Capriglione) prohibits any governmental entity from contracting with any business that discriminates against firearm and ammunition businesses or organizations.

Senate Bill 20 (Campbell/Hefner) allows guests to store firearms in their hotel rooms.

Senate Bill 550 (Springer/Spiller) removes the shoulder or belt holster requirements, allowing Texans to carry firearms in whatever kind of holster they choose.

House Bill 957 (Oliverson/Springer) repeals the criminal offense of possessing, manufacturing, transporting, or repairing a firearm silencer. It also ensures that any firearm suppressor manufactured in Texas, and that remains in Texas, will not be subject to federal law or federal regulation.

House Bill 1500 (Hefner/Creighton) prevents any government entity from prohibiting the sale or transportation of firearms or ammunition during a declared disaster or emergency.

House Bill 1927 (Schaefer/Schwertner) authorizes Constitutional Carry in Texas, meaning law-abiding Texans can legally carry a handgun without a license to carry.

House Bill 2622 (Holland/Hall) makes Texas a Second Amendment Sanctuary State by protecting Texans from new federal gun control regulations.

SB19 is some powerful stuff. That means that banks and insurance companies under pressure from Cuomo/Bloomberg in NY to force those service providers to deny offerings to manufacturers, retailers, and even operations like the SAF or NRA are going to have to decide that doing Bloomberg's bidding is worth more to them than all of the gov-related business at the state, county, and municipal level all across that large Texas market. That one has national ramifications for us, so thank you Texans.

    GTT - Gone To Texas
Thrilled to see so many steps being taken to reclaim our firearms rights here.
Not so thrilled to watch a bunch of RINO Butters like those seated at the table posing like it was all their doings which brought Texas to where she is today.

There should be a dozen or more other states that could get a law like that passed without difficulty.

If even JUST Florida passed a clone of that law, NY-based banks/insurers would feel real pain if they lost the business of every municipal operation, public employee pension fund, county liquor store point of sale accounts, vehicle fleet liability insurance account, etc. That would add up very quickly. I hope Texas passes along the text of that bill right to the Dakotas, the red Gulf states and more.

Meanwhile Texans are being told to not use their washing machines and other appliances and facing major power concerns.

Why am I posting this? Because people remember sitting in a hot house sweating their asses off, or a cold house freezing their asses off, and we've seen Democrats will make huge promises, even if they don't keep them, and the media will cover them.

Would hate to see so many 2A gains lost because they didn't focus on the basics.

Get this! The ATF is currently arguing in court that a "silencer" is not subject to a recent Supreme Court ruling because they claim a "silencer" is not technically a "firearm", even though if a "silencer" is not classified as a "firearm", it would not fall under the jurisdiction of the ATF in the first place! You can't make this stuff up!
    .

I personally think the ATF should just be a convenience store.

So far things are still going in favor of Texas.

All I can say is that bill that passed on Silencers in 2021, is step 1 of several more bills that will come not just next year, but once certain things “Fall” with this bill. I can’t reveal to much.

Other then keep a very close eye on this case, and a few bills that will be filed for next years legislative session.

ATF cannot have their cake and eat it too!

Glad to see/hear about Texas with their new and forthcoming 2A legislation!

Foresee Florida and the other red states following suit.

    Current SCOTUS will be busy.

    Interesting times indeed.

Texas right now is the ONLY state that has actually filed a case using Tax dollars to fight Anti-2A gun laws.

Look at the list of the current 100 firearms cases in our courts around the country. They are all filed by individuals, and the various firearms groups. This case is the ONLY one filed by a State.

These two lawyers from the video are awesome. They are based in Houston Texas, I have met them several times. They are awesome and right in Target.

So, how does this fall out then? You can't sue to not pay a tax, but the tax is unconstitutional. How does an inalienable right end up getting taxed in the first place?!? What does that do to the 1934 NFA? The lawsuit shouldn't be about whether a person doesn't want to pay a tax for their personal NFA item, the lawsuit should be about whether the tax should exist at all.

The left is bringing this all on themselves. They are beginning to believe their own pompous and sanctimonious propaganda. They are actually arrogant enough to think they are a majority, and they think that a majority of Americans would support being completely disarmed. The "progressives" spend the last two years engaging and promoting riots in the streets that caused billions of dollars of damage and not only did nothing, but very publicly bailed out and protected these same criminals. They cried "defund the police" and then time after time released violent, repeat criminals out of jail. People have had enough! Hey leftists! READ THE ROOM! There has been a record number of firearms sells in the last few years over the history of the earth! Eight million Americans in 2021 alone bought a gun, who had never in their life, ever owned a gun before. EIGHT MILLION! You can bet that I whole lot of those were AR15s.

Sorry for the rant. Back to my original point.

If the NFA includes a tax (infringement) to own a machine gun and a tax can't be challenged in court, wouldn't the whole NFA be in jeopardy?

This reminds me of how the Australians outlawed guns. Guns are completely legal to own in Australia, up to and including full auto machine guns. You just have to show cause that you need it. General self defense is not a recognized cause in Australia. If you can prove to the court that you need a full auto, belt fed, M2 .50 BMG to protect your livestock from predators, bingo! you can own one. Just, good luck proving to the court that you might need anything better than a slingshot.

I could see the current regime trying to pull something like this. "What are you talking about? We aren't banning anything. You just need a common sense license to own a pea shooter! A license that we issue and give to nobody". Hey lefty, what does a right mean again?

I really believe that the left will shoot themselves in the foot with all these shenanigans. By bringing all these anti-gun issues to court, they are merely shining light on how wrong and unconstitutional they really are. Time will tell but things are looking better for the firearm community.

    Sorry again for the rant.

Because back in 1934 , even Congress realized they had no Constitutional Authority to BAN certain catagories of Firearms .

Their workaround was to enact a Tax intended to be de facto prohibiting .

That is exactly my point! This infringement must be corrected!
