I noticed Giant food stores are now selling farm raised venison, if anyone wants a taste without having to drag the deer out of the woods.

Doesn’t taste exactly the same though. Different diet. Different muscle tone/life experiences. I don’t mind a farm raised venison. But it isn’t exactly the same.

Awesome! You either have a lot of deer cutting to do, or you are about to right a big check to your butcher!

The butcher got them, they are all shot for crop damage, but they will go to friends who eat venison but don't hunt, they pay the butcher thankfully!

I still gut all of them, even though I only shot half. I think my havalon blade needs to be replaced at this point in the season.

Didn't get to hangout long enough to see any deer, but sat on the hill encase an early deer came out.

My son's small 3 point buck he took with his bow yesterday after school. His first. Unfortunately we already cut the antlers off when we took the picture.

Hunted in Lineboro.Sat til 10 and saw nothing but squirrels. Only heard a few single shots that could have been muzzleloader. It seems the deer weren't moving very much today.

I shot this one last night, gotta turn down the magnification on the 350 scope, didn't realize the bullet weighed more than the deer

Hunted outside a bedding area and the deer were already in it before sunrise. Three ran out past, and behind, me and I was going to shoot the big one and then I saw it had white spots near the ears. It was a button and was chasing a yearling. They got behind me and "grunt grunt" and they run back past me into the bedding. So the yearlings are hitting the rotation for breeding now in some spots. Saw six or an eight through the thick stuff but was so thick I could get a clear shot and no does ventured near the edge. I got out saying it meat hunting and a buck starts grunting and I am passing up deer again.
