    I joined.

I do not have an AR that falls into the realm of the brace ban, but joined anyway. Hopefully, the money from this massive membership drive will be able to really help in the courts for both this brace ban and any other absurd law/ruling that might be attempted.

I think they are involved with our SB1 lawsuit, so it is definitely money going to a good cause.

For those of you playing along at home, there were around 40,000 form 1s submitted in the 24hrs of 5/31/2023, the last day of the forebearance. Looks like there were over 8,000 submitted in the last two hours before midnight- over 4,000 of which were submitted in the last 45min.

Ah, I love the smell of mass noncompliance in the morning. Smells like......Freedom!
Actually, all of those thousands of new people lining up to join FPC and GOA are - because of these new PIs - very much doing so in the name of coverage to avoid legal peril while the inevitable permanent smack-down works its way like molasses through courts and some day to a final real ruling. This presumes the feds themselves comply with the federal judges' PIs.

With you on that. Hell, somebody's got to do nothing.

Meanwhile, 40,000 Form 1s yesterday ought to give our Bureau of Infringement, Alcohol and Explosives something to do while the Court looks into altering their job descriptions.

LOL. Words government employees live by! I have a sign I made hanging up in my office at work: "If it's the least I can do, I'm happy to do it." Of course, I don't actually live by that philosophy...........unless they come up with some cockamamie "project" they want us all to pitch in on that has absolutely nothing to do with our core mission. Still, it makes a certain kind of statement necessary in a gooberment position.

The system seemed to be working yesterday but a little slow. Last night it was a total cluster. Nothing would process through the last step for me between 10 and midnight when I got home from coaching baseball.

Yea, even checking yesterday was an exercise in futility. I had to do mine because reasons. I got mine in 4th of May, still not approved. Bought another ”pistol” yesterday. I will wait a while before contemplating a brace. See how all the lawsuits settle out.
