Ran across this last week - sold a couple of Steyr Hahns to a guy and he had this in his "to sell" pile.
Astra Model 800 Condor, mfg in the first year (1958) with original box and spare mag.
Fairly uncommon, a little over 11,000 total made and not many made it into the states (especially without import marks). They didn't sell well, and by the end they were only cranking out literally a handful per year. The box is pretty rare so I was happy to get it. The pistol is basically a souped up Model 600, but it's a bit heavier and feels more comfortable. There's a pretty goofy magazine release button down at the bottom of the left grip panel. Of interest is the lack of a grip safety.
I'd love to hear from anyone out there that has one of these.
Last shot is with the rest of his new family (L->R)
1) Model 1921 (aka 400) Chilean Navy (9mm Largo)
2) Model 600 1st contract with Waffenamp (9mm Parabellum)
3) Model 600 Portuguese Navy (9mm Parabellum)
4) Model 600 unissued (9mm Parabellum)
5) Model 800 (9mm Parabellum)
