    I noticed the detail of the high end vehicle as well, and it screams "stolen car". Perhaps an earlier carjacking? Not to stereotype, but carjacking seems to be the hip thing to do in the ghetto these days.
    You can get a Mercedes sedan for close to Nissan money, if you don't care that it's beat up and will need to spend more in service than the car cost to compensate for skipped service. Actually, that's probably why they needed 11k. The air suspension can be a pretty penny to replace.

    Someone knew that there was a large amount of cash on premises. If you robbed a random shoe repair or drycleaners, you are going to leave with the $250 in the drawer.
