I want to sell my MD registered Colt 6920 to a co-worker that lives in PA. Do I have to ship it to a PA ffl to transfer the gun? All the searches I've done are handgun specific and can't find an answer for a long gun. Thank you.

You can ship it or drop it off at a FFL outside of MD. If it were a HBAR you could use a FFL in state. A FFL must be involved.

Yes. You since it's across state lines you have to go through a dealer, at least on the receiving end.

Thank you, guys. Anything I have to do with MD to release it or will that naturally happen from the PA ffl?
