    The takedown and pivot pin springs and detents are identical. (and reversible)

    The selector spring and detent are very different from the pin springs and detents.
    (the detent looks like a little bullet and is not reversible)

    Exactly,
    The safety/selector spring is stiffer and (i believe) slightly shorter.

    Shorter, wider and stiffer.
    Won't fit in the pin spring/detent holes.

    But the pin springs will fit in the channel and hole in the grip for the selector
    spring and detent.
    That is a common assembly mistake and usually discovered after you've bolted the grip on.
    Reversing the selector detent is common too.
