Hope this is posted in the right place...

I was hoping to get some insight/opinions on buffer tube kits. Specifically, is one brand really better than the other (spikes, LMT, BCM...)? As long as the tube is Mil Spec diameter, 7075 and the buffer is an H2 or heavier is there really any reason to pay top dollar for a name brand buffer tube kit? I am getting ready to replace mine and was looking at a spikes but Im not sure if its worth the extra money vs. one from brownells or PSA.

    Any thoughts?

Most of the many sites I have been to dont list the grade of aluminum, just mil/commercial spec. There has got to be a MFG co. that does 7075 tubes and dont charge an arm and leg for a spider/whatever logo. I dont even really care if the finish is so so, the stock will cover it anyhow. Do these name brand outfits actually produce their own buffer tubes in house or do they get them from a supplier the same way many get their stripped lowers?
