No notice of nics check till I printed out approval notice on portal that nics was assign day before approval.

That is norm for emails. Some will also get the “investigator assigned” email, though it doesn’t change anything.

There is no notification of NICS. (You have to check for it by clicking button to print application.)

I am a Washington DC resident not a Maryland resident. Does anyone know if this affects application processing times or priority?

I do know in DC they try to prioritize resident applications over no—resident applications.

Approved date was incorrect in my previous post, It was Monday the 23. In hand today.

Called MSP licensing division back today for an update on my HGP. Approved 1/7/23 (14 business days ago) and I have received nothing. They said that they are working through a lot of the HGP every day and if they have my address that means I will receive it. When I asked at what point they would do something if I did not receive it, they told me to call back in March.

I have called the MSP and talked to a few different people that keep giving me the same message "just wait and you'll get it." I also sent an email 3 days ago with my application number and asked for a follow up with any information about the whereabouts of my HGP, no response from MSP.

Sounds like it is lost in the mail. There have been several cases of that mentioned in this thread. The general rule has been if you have not received the permit within 30 days after it was approved the MSP will issue you a new permit with a different number that they will mail to you.

It was either never sent, or it was lost in the mail. The problem is the MSP will not even begin to entertain the thought that the USPS could have lost it, they keep feeding me the same line that I will get it at some point. They are definitely not telling me to wait 30 days from approval and they will issue me a new permit. I even told them okay, hypothetically if I never receive it then what would be the next course of action. That's when they said "call back in March." At this point they are telling me I need to wait 53 days from approval to even begin the process of being issued another HGP. I will also say when I have called or written emails to the MSP I have not been nasty or confrontational at all. They just refuse to help me or even look up my application number to check their system for the current status.

Blacksmith is correct. It generally has been 30 days. I would call back after 8 Feb.
